Shot a few celebs: Miss Jay from America’s Next Top Model, the cast of Winners and Losers, Dannii Minogue, Brian McFadden, and Runner Up of Australia’s Next Top Model Sophie Van Den Akker.
As part of my prize I got to go to the Opening Party of MSFW at the Longroom and met the other winner, Jeremy Kid.
Recently Nikon Australia posted an assignment on their website called “Ride It” in which members were challenged to “capture a street’s eye view of style and fashion on wheels – from bikes, to trams, to cars – anything that gets you from A to B.” for a chance to win Media Access to Melbourne Spring Fashion Week at City Square.
I entered some photos in the competition and forgot about them. A few weeks later I decided to clean out my Spam folder and came across an email from Nikon Australia that was definitely not Spam! It was the announcement that I’d won the competition and that I would have the chance to go behind the scenes at some MSFW events.
Yea!! If I hadn’t been in the study area of the library at the time I would’ve jumped out of my seat. :)
Here’s what the judges had to say: “Great contrast in this shot that catches that moment of silence whilst the board is airborne.”
Gian came into town for a visit and we decided to head down to the city to see what we could see. Ended up stopping at the Shrine of Remembrance for a little tour and a portrait shoot :) Here’s what I came up with.
Somehow my dad pulled off the surprise of a lifetime and sent me home for a visit without telling any friends or family, as an anniversary gift for my mom. (25 years!! awww) So here are some shots from my trip!
Jasmin and Andrew came to visit so we took a trip down the coast to check out Sorrento.
